Our commitment is to provide the best experience to the participants of our activities and for that reason we have a team of certified guides working for years with mountaineering and climbing ready to help you with everything you need in English.
Most of our activities are in São Bento do Sapucaí, specially at MONA Pedra do Baú (State Natural Monument) an enviromental preservation area with three rocks formations that provides the perfect place for nature contact activities.

Activities at MONA Pedra Do Baú
Pedra do Baú Hiking + Via Ferrata
Pedra do Baú hiking is the most famous activity in São Bento do Sapucaí and the unique Via Ferrata in Brazil.
It starts with a walk through a beatifull forest of Araucaria Trees (Brazilian tree, actually in extinction) for approximately 1h until the base of Pedra do Baú rock where the via ferrata starts with approximately 300m long, it is consisted of some positive parts but also with some really vertical parts that add adrenaline to this activity.
To climb via ferrata is mandatory to use safety equipment, harness, self-belay with energy sink and helmet which will be provided by our guides.

Sunrise at Pedra do Baú - Hiking + Via Ferrata
The sunrise at Pedra do Baú rock is an unforgetable experience because the whole riking and the via ferrata is done during the nigth only with the ligth of the moon and our headlamps, until the summit where we wait for the espectaular sunrise at one of the highest points of Serra da Mantiqueira.
To climb via ferrata it is mandatory to use safety equipment, harness, self-belay with energy sink and helmet, which will be provided by our guides.

Ana Chata hiking + Via Ferrata
Ana Chata is the smaller of the three rocks at MONA Pedra do Baú, but not less interesting.
The begining of the hiking is the same of Pedra do Baú, with Aracuaria forest and whater springs, but it is longer because we have to get until de south face of the rock where the via ferrata starts afer approximately 1.5h. Starting with a cave and them some vertical parts we will finaly get at the summit with an expectacular view of all Serra da Mantiqueira and especially of Pedra do Baú.

Two Rocks hiking - Pedra do Baú + Ana Chata
In this activity, the objective is to reach the summit of Preda do Baú and Ana Chata in the same day, perfect for those who are used to mountaineering.
We will start by Pedra do Baú, in a 1.5h trekking until the base of the rock and then 300m by the via ferrata (north face) to get to the summit, where we will have toime to rest, take some pictures and recover energy to continue.
Then we will go down the via ferrata and a part of the path, until the fork that leads us towards the base of Ana Chata on the south face, where we will pass through a small cave and several sections of via ferrata to reach de summit.
Aproximately 8km trekking with big unevennes, via ferrata and a samll cave which requires resistance and good physical shape, but offers a comletely unforgettbla experience.

Three Rocks hiking - Bauzinho + Baú + Ana Chata
This is the complete chalenge in MONA Pedra do Baú, a 12km circular trail with some Vias Ferratas to get at the summit of the three rocks of the Natural Monumet.
Approximately 8h of trekking by the north and suth faces of the mountain, so we will see the diferents kinds of vegetations depends of the altitude and the sun effect, like Araucarias, Orchids and some diferents Samambaias, including Smambaia Açu (actualy in extinction)0

Rapel at Bauzinho
Rapelling is a descent technique in climbing procedures, but in Brazil it is very common among people who wat to have the expirience of height and adrenaline without having to climb before.
This activity perfectly provides the sansation of height but with a quick and easy acces, thas can be done by anyone.
It all starts at MONA Pedra do Baú parking lot, where a short walk, approximately 20 minutes, will take us to the top of Bauzinho the point where the rapelling starts with an impressive view of Pedra do Baú and the entire Serra da Mantiqueira.
Two guides will help you with the safety equipment and show you the proper rapelling tecniques that prepare you to enjoy the both 30mts rapelling down to reach the base of the south face.

Bauzinho hiking
Bauiznho is the most easily access summit of MONA Pedra do Baú, it can be visited on your own, without a guide, throgh a wide and well marked path.
But for those who prefer a greater immersion in nature, whitout big physical effort, we offer an alternative rute that is rarely visited and through the most preserved area of MONA Pedra do Baú.
Approximately 1 hour walk from the parking lot to the top of Bauzinho with little unevenness, during the walk our guide will explain some curiosities about local fauna and flora, such as Araucarias, Samambaias, Bromeliads and Orchids that are seen throughout the rute.
At the summit we will have time to rest, recover our energy and apreciate the awesome view.

Bauzinho hiking + Sunset
Exactly the same activity of Bauzinho hiking but starting at the afternoon, to get to the summit a few moments before the sun comes down.
The sunset view is amazing and our guide will ofer you a cofe and some tradicional biscuits.

Hikings and Pet Friendly Hikings
Pedra da Balança Hiking
On the opposite side of the MONA Pedra do Baú there is Pedra da Balança, a beatiful mountain that provides a spectacular view of the entire enviroment of São Bento do Sapucaí.
The hike begins at Tobogã waterfall, at the base of the mountain, by a wide an open road for 1km and them enter a narrow path sorrounded by Araucarias, water springs to get to the summit with an amazing view of São Bento do Sapucaí and Serra da Mantiqueira.
This activity is perfect for people who want to walk and reach the top of a mountain without climbing Via Ferrata or height exposure.

Pedra da Onça Hiking
The Pedra da Onça trekking is a circular rute, aproximately 12km through the border between São Paulo and Minas Gerais Satates. The rute goes over the mointain ridges with a diferent but also awesome view form the others activities.
The hike starts at Cantagalo neighborhood, one of the most isolated in São Bento do Sapucaí and which still preserves the tradition of countryside lifestyle, so we will cross with cows, horses, pigs, chickens and many cultivated areas.
Then we wil enter the narrow path that runs along the ridge of the mountains, inside of the forest which in this case will not be of Araucarias, but flowers trees like Ipé and Jacarandas.
This activity is perfect for people who likes to go out of the comom turisty rutes, knowing the normal local area life.

Rock Climbing Activities
São Bento do Sapucaí is one of the most important climbing spots in Brazil. Because is one of the areas where climbing started and was more developed in the country.
Most of our guide team are climbers, so we can not miss rock climbing among our activities.
Sport Climbing
Sport climbing is one of the getaways to this sport because used to have an easie access to the cliff and it is safe and have easy rute to begginers, but it also leads to the greatest technical difficulties.
This activity is suitable for people who never climb before and wnat to know how is it but also for people who already parctice and want to meet Brazilian climbing.
We will choose the place and the climbing rutes according to your needs, experience and expectation.
Our guides are ready to help people from beginner to advanced level and will teach you everything about local climbing history, equipment and security techniques.

Climbing Guide - Multi pitch - Trad Climbing
For those who already have climbing experience and prefer long routes, multy pitches, to reach the top of the mountains, also have guaranteed fun in São Bento do Sapucaí.
In this acticity we will climb to reach the summit of one of the three rocks at MONA Pedra do Baú, Bauzinho, Pedra do Baú or Ana Chata.
There are many rutes, with diferent heigh, dificulty level and climbing protection so lets talk about your experience and your expectation to choose the one that is perfect for you.

Birdwatching
Birdwatching is growing a lot around the world and specially in Brazil because of the great divesity, the 2nd inthe world ranking, and the unique species that can be seen easily.
For this activity we have special guides, who work and study birdwatching for years to know the especific areas for each species.
One more time, our porpose is to provide the best experience to the participants, so we have diferents circuits from begginers to more experience people, also if you aare looking for an especific species.

Off-road Activities
Quadricycle
A different way to stay in touch with nature, having amazing views and some adventure but without physical effort.
The tour runs at Sapucaí Mirim rural area, a neighboring town of São Bento do Sapucaí aproximately 15minuts by car. That is because in Brazil the quadricycle are not alowed to run in urban areas or normal roads.
The circuit takes 1.5h (one hour and a half) by dirt roads without very challenging obstacles so it can be done for every kind of people, even without experience. It has three stops, two of them in infinite swings with an awesome views and one more in a waterfall.

Toyota 4x4
A balance between nature contact and gastronomic/cultural experience aboard our Toyota 4×4.
Circuits designed to show the best of the region, visiting rural producers, like mushrooms, olive oil, wine, cachaça (Brazilian licor) or a fram, in all cases with a guided tour qhere will explain the details and particularies of teir production.
We wil also stop in some viewpoints with amazing views of Serra da Mantiqueira mountains, some real off-road ways where you can feel a bit of adrenaline with the moviment and inclination of the car.
And of course take lunch in some of the best local restaurnts to apreciate the local culinary.

Cultural Tours
São Bento do Sapucaí was the frist settlement in the region, so in adition to nature and adventure it has a lot of history, neocolonial architecture and very talented artisnas.
City Tour
The City tour is a quiet walk through the center of São Bento do Sapucaí to learn all the secrets and stories of this charming little town that always surprise their visitors.
For this activity we have local guides, born in São Bento do Sapucaí, delighted to transmit knowledge about the histor, customs and special places of their town.

City Tour + Quilombo Neighborhood
If you want to know depth the peculiar history of São Bento do Sapucaí, further than visit the center of the town you have to visit the Quilombo neighborhood.
Quilombo is the name given to the communities formed by the slaves who scape from the neraby farms.
Today it is one of the most culturally rich neigbohood in São Bento do Sapucaí specelly in with their particulary festivals dates.
